A sitcom, written by
Moray Hunter and starring
Angus Deayton, Abigail Cruttenden, Pearce Quigley, Kate Isitt and Bennett Arron, about five single, middle-aged neighbours living in flats in a converted house in North London.
Mitch is a widower and part-time therapist who is looking to put his life back together now that he is single and living with Will, his younger, more volatile and unhappily divorced half-brother. Elsewhere in the building are schoolteacher Ellie, who is shy, nervous and holds a secret candle for Mitch. Overly honest, frustrated actress Louisa and socially inept IT nerd Morris complete the line-up of mis-matched neighbours.
In series 4, Mitch and Ellie have started a relationship, and almost finished it a number of times as well, but for now they’re together and trying to make the best of things. Will is trying to avoid Morris who has decided Will needs company because Mitch is seeing Ellie, and he also gets very close to Nina, Morris’ ex. Morris causes turmoil when he adopts a stray cat, which is then found dead in suspicious circumstances and Louisa finds love with an unexpected partner and reveals her Diva side when she cleans for Ellie.
