BBC documentary on childhood obesity

A new BBC One documentary with 'Dr Chris' van Tulleken is looking for families living with weight-related issues to take part in a film about childhood obesity. Dr Chris has previously worked on programmes such as Operation Ouch, The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs, and Surviving the Virus: My Brother & Me.

In the documentary, we will follow Dr Chris as he explores the increase in the number of people living with obesity on a global scale. He will look at the impact this is having on our children, the causes behind it and the potential ways to tackle the problem.

What we want to make clear is this is NOT a film about dieting or weight-loss. Dr Chris is going to be investigating the forces at work within our children’s environments that make it incredibly difficult to maintain a healthy weight and how they continue into our adult lives, even when we don't know they are happening.

If you or your family are living with weight-related issues and would be happy to speak with Dr Chris and the BBC, please get in touch.
